Writing as modern architecture

Especially as an explorer, your journey is only as good as your documentation thereof. In the end, you are exploring your destination not merely to travel, but also to record your findings and report them to others who can learn from you.

Consequently, writing becomes as important as exploring. Writing becomes a tool of communication to convey what you have learned. Certain conventions and types of structures have emerged as useful in efficiently communicating what you found, how you found it, and what you think about it. The better your writing, the more reading your report steps into the background and understanding what you did steps into the foreground.

Research means being able to clearly communicate the findings of your exploration. This favours a clear, well-balanced, and non-decorative style of writing.
